MARIAN L. WENGER

FAIRBANK-Marian L. Wenger of Fairbank, died Wednesday, August 20, at Mercy Hospital in Oelwein, of a lengthy illness.

She was born October 16, 1928 Delaware County, Earlville, Iowa, daughter of Herman and Florence ( Meiners) Buchholz

She married Duane Wenger on November 25, 1948.

Survived by; Four sons: Ken (Diane) Wenger, Fairbank; Bob (Mavis) Wenger, Atkins; Rich (Ruth) Wenger,Fairbank, Roger (Vivian) Wenger, Oelwein; a daughter in-law: Carolyn Wenger, Lincoln, NE. 8 grandchildrenand 4 great grandchildren.  Two brothers: Merlen (Thelma) Buchholz, Sumner, IA.; Marvin (Vonna) Buchholz, Beloit, W:I; two sistera: Hazel (Wesley) Hamblin, Jesup; Melba (Bill) Beabower, Brandon.

preceded in death by: her parents, her husband, Duane, and one son, Steve.

Services at 10:30 a.m. on Saturday, August 23, United Methodist Church, Fairbank with burial in the Fairbank Cemetery.  Public visitation on Friday from 4:00 to 8:00 p.m., and one hour before services at the church.

Memorials may be directed to the family.

MABEL J. MOHLIS

FAIRBANK-Mabel J. Mohlis, of Fairbank, died Tuesday, August 5, at Oelwein Care Center, Oelwein, of natural causes.

She was born September 6, 1912 in Buchanan Count, Fairbank, Iowa, daughter of George and Ida (Miller) Polege. 

She married John Henry Mohlis on September 6, 1930 at St. John’s Lutheran Church, Fairbank.

Survived by: one daughter, Grace (Robert) Lendaman of Malakoff, Texas, and one son, Kenneth (Annetta) Mohlis of Fairbank, 6 grandchildren, 10 great grandchildren, 3 step-great grandchildren and 4 great great grandchildren.

Preceded in death by:  her husband, John on October 17, 1984, her parents, one brother, George Polege, and two sisters, Nellie Geistfeld and Violetta Duran.

Services: at 10:30 a.m. on Friday, August 8, St. John’s Lutheran Church, Fairbank, with burial in the Fairbank Cemetery.  Public visitation from 4:00 to 7:00 p.m. on Thursday at the funeral home and an hour before services at the church before services.

Memorials may be directed to the family.
